Challenges National Translators Face

PDF Version

Please take 3.5 minutes to see the first video from the Wycliffe video crew we hosted last summer. It highlights the sacrifices, challenges, and rewards Papua New Guinean translators experience. Much of that happens far away from the translation tables—even places like Pou translator Clement Tonini’s garden (above).

Please pray for them as they gather this week in Arop village to finish making improvements to 1-2 Timothy based on input Ben Pehrson and I gave them last summer.

Please pray that Vincent Yove will arrive so he can finish Luke in the Ramo language, as we mentioned in our September 27th Arop Lagoon Tribune.

Emil Ninkure and I hope to Skype together this week to finish off Titus and Philemon.

If you watched the video, you know why the privilege to work with these men is one of the things we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving week.

. . . and then there’s the computers

Please pray this week for our partner Ben Pehrson and the translators as he introduces them to their new laptop computers. With technology, anything can happen.
