VSAT Finally Installed

Installed and working!
After over two years of trying, our “Plan A” VSAT satellite Internet antenna was finally installed this week.
Wednesday morning I had a 20-minute voice conversation with our teammates in Arop village on the new connection.
Praise the Lord that Kurt Metzger (Left), our network specialist, and Wayne Ferris (Right), our electronics expert, were able to overcome all the challenges to get it working. Pray that they can now get Arop translator Emil Ninkure (center) trained to use Skype so he and I can work together “live” across the Internet, no matter where I am.
Here in Upland, Bonnie continues to work on our book. Pray for great progress next week.
Next week, I will be in Dallas, TX helping plan priorities for how our computer programmers will improve our translation software in the next year. Pray for wisdom for all of us involved, and praise God for techies!

A quick visit
I speak at Northeast Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg on Sunday October 9th.
Need a house-sitter?
We’re still looking for house-sitting opportunities for our family of four in Seminole/Largo FL for Thanksgiving week (Nov. 18-26).
